Early Saturday Morning

Funny..I use to post early Saturday morning because I was a night owl and stayed up that late now I am up every morning at 450...its a good thing really love having an entire day ahead of me loaded with endless possibilities.
How are you all? Hope your world is spinning in the right direction. 
For a few different reasons, I wasn't posting a lot about that big news I mentioned last time I posted. Well now I can tell ya! I resigned from Baker College after close to ten years of employment there and have found my dream job!! I am going into my third week of employment with an amazing company called Tweddle Group! Here is a link to their website: http://tweddle.com/ .  I do not believe I have ever been so happy in a place of employment......ever. I am treated with 100% respect. I am enjoying the training though some of the information (masses and masses of information) is a bit overwhelming but I am I am learning so much and catching on a little more by the day! My new title is Technical Author and I work for the Nissan team...we create Owner's manuals and quick reference guides for new automobile owners. You know those packages you get in the glove box or trunk when you buy a new car? Ya me either lol Have never owned a brand new car in my life but that possibility is looking more real these days...well that is what we do we make the things that go into those packages. Love my team, love the company, love the environment there..Still adjusting to the new hours and its getting easier each week. Don't get me wrong I'm exhausted but its worth the hard work and dedication. It is nice after ten years of getting home from work well after dark most days, to get out of work and still have a little time in the day. Anyone who knows me knows that I use to make pots of coffee at 10pm to work on art half the night but I am in bed by 10 these days lol
ART...my art is not on a back burner per say...my soul will always call for my art and photography...just gotta find my happy place with time and the weekends seem to be a lot of catching up on those things lately. It is nice to be able to bring my Graphic Design background into my new work as well and be able to make a contribution with it to my team and the company and there are many creative people working for Tweddle. There are graphic designers, illustrators, photographers, all sorts of creative goodness! And so this is whats been going on in my life as of lately.
Today...I am up, showered, having my first cup of coffee which is glorious by the way...have a little bit of work to do from home today and a trip to the post office is in order with a few other errands and then the rest of tonight and all day tomorrow loaded with artistic pursuit. Some mail art to get to that's pressing...some international artful packages to get in the mail...some ACT's for my art group..some letter writing and that is where the weekend is headed. I hope yours is heading to a good place and that you are enjoying the summer. Been raining a lot here and hope that slows down or stops! A week from today out at DTE will be enjoying the fantastic rock n roll of The Goo Goo Dolls and Matchbox Twenty. Really looking forward to that! Going with my great friend Jennifer Watt and her son along with Don. This will be my eight or ninth time seeing The Goo Goo Dolls...love those Goo's...they are much like wine or good whiskey. They just get better and better with time. Their new album is amazing and cant wait to rock along to it LIVE! If you havent heard it or if you have been under a rock for the last oh 20 years lol here is a link to their website and their new record! Hi Lovely Souls

Whats shakin? 

Been awhile had to dust through the cobwebs to get in here shew! 

So sorry for that but its been for wonderful good reasons..lots of life changes for me in the past two months and things are looking up..and it feels damn good friends! Can't say honestly...I've ever been so happy :) Tired..but happy. For several reasons I have been advised to not really discuss those changes too much for now but will soon. Just know ...its good good stuff!!!! :)

Havent had a chance to work too much on art this past week..new shift has me really trying hard to adapt to very early mornings making for much earlier evenings. It is SO worth it but it takes its tole on the body. Been catching up on the second season of Game of Thrones in the little bit of free time I have....so addicted to that show and cant tell you how mad I was and the fire I was spitting when Lord Stark ...well forget it if you haven't seen it dont want to spoil things...love love love this show. Just started watching it on my one week vacation ..watched the whole first season and now nearly the end of the second and cant wait to see the third so that when the 4th begins I will be caught up to speed...great show ...onward!! 

Three weddings of family members took place this June..yikes! That kept us all on our toes...two engagements..love is in the air or something corny like that...

Aside from the weddings keeping my weekends, I have been watching my lilly's daily waiting for them to bloom...much to my surprise this morning two of them popped! Look at these beauties..

Cant wait for the rest to bloom! Lots of flowers coming up...and so I think I might go check on the secret garden ...or find a new one lol and then I have an ATC swap..for of ATC's to package out and get into the mail....about 68 of them ...WOW is right huge swap with The Enchanted Imaginarium art group I run on FB...great group of people there whom I love very much!! Then art night for me!! YAY!! xx

Hello...weeee hours of the morning. Been working on some art and things tonight. Just wanted to come by because I will be pretty busy most of the day and give you guys some updates and photos to look at. Visited the Cranbrook Gardens this past week...got in for free and cant beat that! Beautiful place it is...here are some shots from there.

 

Worked on some ATC sleeves tonight...

 Spent the afternoon downtown in a meeting on the 39th floor of the Penobscott building..check out the view!

 These were just taken through glass and not edited..but wow huh? I love the city...even if it is in ruins I see the whole picture not just the ruin its become..i see rich history and potential..always will.

pretty cool stuff...the building you see in that last photo is current vacant..the owner stopped paying the bills and everyone had to vacate but hopefully someone does something with it what an amazing building!

Been Awhile

Well hi there friends. Any that may still be around. So many things happening in my life in the last two months free time for blogging and such have really been hit and miss. I finished out my last two weeks at Baker College...was a bit of an emotional last day for me..had been there for ten years total counting my undergrad programs there and 8 years of employment.  Will miss my co-workers and they did a really fantastic job of making me feel loved and supported my last day of work. :) 

They made me cry. Wendy Ross is one of the best human beings I have ever met and what a fantastic boss. Looking forward however to the new chapter in my life. Off this week between jobs but its been busy...have never have a vacation on the 8 years I worked for Baker College...so right now I feel like I' missing work and being bad or something...lol...seems strange to not be going to work today. lol 

Been a busy couple of months for me...dads car accident, my leg injury, job interview, resignation from old job, shot two weddings my niece and Don's brother..here is a sneak peak form those..

So...other than the business of all of this stuff I have not gotten to work on much art but that changes today...nothing but art for the night..YAY!!

And so...this is why I have not blogged in a bit but things are slowing down..for this week anyways..another wedding on Saturday few appointments this week coming up...going to take a crash course refresher with user manual and a ton of Youtube videos to learn CS6 In Design...
