Early Sunday Morning

Happy Sunday friends! Hope this Sunday finds you doing well and the world being kind  to you. Thought I would drop by for some hello's and to share a bit of my world with you. It is COLD here in Michigan this morning..accuweather.com says it is currently 41 degrees the realfeel is 37 and they are talking rain and snow mixed by Tuesday! Yikes! Turned the heat on and still a bit cold this morning. Winter is certainly on its way. 

The week was a busy one..some new training at work which has been pleasant thus far and going well..some medical tests and with October being Breast Cancer Awareness month I had my first ever mammogram. What can I say about that? It is not fun and it is a bit uncomfortable but I cant stress enough how dire it is if you over 40 to get one. My mother is a breast caner survivor and I also have a friend currently going through chemo for it and ones who have gone through it. Early detection  is imperative ladies...feel your boobies...they're yours...and be sure to get a mammogram. Hoping some of the other tests I've had done this week and ones coming next week reveal no need for a major surgery. This weekend was a fun and relaxing one. Friday night my oldest Sam and her boyfriend Garrett came over and watched a couple of movies. Love having them visit..Saturday we went to a rubber stamp convention  ..it was okay but slightly disappointing due to lack of products I had hoped to see there. Then we had some hot wings and watched the football game. Only fair since I did drag Don tot he rubber stamp convention with me. Came home and did some doodle...just relaxed..which was in order with exactly what I needed and need more of today. an uneventful day is ahead..some sewing and art time for me...im sure football for him. Not a huge fan myself infact I would rather eat nails than watch football...just sayin. Here is some of my doodle from last night..

and so there it is. I'm so hardcore I know. Going to have some fruit and my coffee..and get the day started. I need  to warm up its freezing in here!! Have a great Sunday folks. Peace & love!

Find it however you need to. That is where the inspiration for this one came about.

Finally after a few weeks of non stop busy and choas..find some time to just be with myself and go within. 

It was glorious! 

Today...was such a beautiful day..worked on some Halloween things for a team I joined competing at work for a half day off if you can spook good...contest? Ha,..check and mate! I can be ever so slightly competitive. Flaw? I think not...over achiever? Maybe. 

Got out after working on those things this morning and took a drive into the country.Just a beautiful perfect kind of Fall day here in Michigan...photos to come later tonight. Feeling full of gratitude today for all that is good in this life for all that is here for our taking and for all things nature which I am passionately in love with..

Sunday Evening

Hi there friends...
Hope this finds you well. In an attempt to keep my word I'm trying to get back into the swing of blogging again and sharing this journey we are all on called LIFE...Been a lazy weekend for me which has been much needed...just not feeling so well this weekend friends...but was able to scoot my butt into the art studio for a bit here and there. Working on some Halloween ATC's and some Fall like envelopes and tags and having fun with that. Painting with real leaves has been fun and Gesso takes kindly to them..here are a few images of things I've been playing with this weekend.

 Really enjoying the Fall palette...
Love my bright vibrant colors and neon's but just something so soothing about Fall colors...plums and browns and reds and oranges and yellows and creams..just love it!! Falling a bit behind in some photo editing ...took a great many photos that I plan on entering in a contest for The Michigan Renaissance  Festivals. Took the girls to that for their birthday and had a blast! Will need to work on those this week...in other news I submitted 6 items to Somerset Life magazine in hopes of the opportunity to get published by them...would really love to be able to hand my daughters a publication with some of my work in it! That is something they can keep for all time! 

Don't want to reveal too much but here are a few shots from that day! 

 Fun times...many many more photos to come from that day...just haven't had the time. The Renaissance era is my favorite and I do believe that if we were ever alive in a past existence for me it was during that period. Ahh...the Ren fest is kinda like my Disney world and it is certainly a favorite placve to take photos...this is really not even a drop in the bucket of what I took that day...as I said more to come! 

And now...I am going to sit with a warm cup of coffee...the last one for the night have to be up at 430am for work. relax with my Nook and try to get a good nights sleep in hopes of feeling much better tomorrow...
